You can see that we started as a small family business that is part of the local economy.  Our products are developed here in our shop and were all produced here when we first began.  In 2009 we expanded and, just as Steve originally intended, are providing Vermonters with jobs by having most of the production done locally (R&K Woodworking, Vergennes, VT.)

Here you can see the Western Red Cedar that some of our products are made from.  It is Forest Stewardship Council certified.  We also use wood that is harvested locally according to AMP (acceptable management practices) guidelines. We buy as much wood locally as we can as long as it is responsibly harvested.
